This is a FUN article, I know, I don’t usually write those. But, I get such a “kick” out of looking at funny teaching MEMES that I thought this might be a fun article to add to my website.
So, here goes:
You know you are a Teacher WHEN:
1. YOU ARE ALWAYS COUNTING HEADS WHEN OUT WITH FAMILY.
2. YOU STOP AT EVERY OFFICE SUPPLY AISLE IN EVERY STORE.
3. YOU SPEAK TO YOUR HUSBAND IN YOUR “PRIMARY” TEACHER VOICE.
4. YOUR EXPLANATIONS ARE VERY EXPLICIT!
5. YOU ARE LEARNING TO LIKE COLD COFFEE.
6. YOU ARE FLAT BROKE THREE DAYS BEFORE PAYDAY!
7. WHEN YOU SAY YOU NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM, YOU ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETIME IN THE NEXT THREE HOURS.
8. YOU GET SUPER EXCITED WHEN THE LAMINATOR GETS FIXED!
9. “ARE YOU BLEEDING OR DYING? NO? OK, SIT DOWN.”
10. TEACHING: WHEN YOU REFUSE TO THROW ANYTHING OUT BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE USEFUL IN 47 YEARS FOR AN ART PROJECT.
11. “THANK GOD WE HAVE ALL THIS DATA. I WOULDN’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT TO TEACH WITHOUT IT”. – SAID NO TEACHER EVER.
12. “I’M SORRY, IS MY TEACHING INTERRUPTING YOU?”
13. KEEP CALM & PRETEND IT’S ON THE LESSON PLAN.
14. YOU KNOW YOU’RE A TEACHER WHEN YOU’VE MASTERED THE ART OF WALKING BACKWARDS.
15. DON’T YELL AT YOUR STUDENTS, LEAN IN AND WHISPER, IT’S MUCH SCARIER!
16. 5 REASONS TO MARRY A TEACHER.
- They know how to do everything.
- You can’t gross them out, they’ve definitely seen worse.
- They’ll never complain about your cooking because they’re starving from never having lunch breaks.
- You’ll never be bored, they’re experts at entertaining 100’s of kids on a daily basis.
- But mostly, they have a huge heart and the patience of a saint.
17. “SO, YOUR SON WAS ABSENT 25 DAYS, LATE 18 TIMES AND IT’S THE TEACHER’S FAULT HE DIDN’T LEARN ANYTHING.”
18. KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS ON THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL, “NO ONE THREW UP OR CRIED, IT WAS A GOOD DAY.”
19. YOU FINALLY SIT DOWN FOR 30 SECONDS AFTER BEING ON YOUR FEET ALL DAY, AND THE PRINCIPAL WALKS IN YOUR ROOM.
